Sandra Kay Doepker, 51, of New Milford died Aug. 14 at her home.
Miss Doepker was born Sept. 30, 1948, in Lansing, Mich., a daughter of Irene Doepker and the late Norbert Doepker. She moved to Carson City, Mich., in December of 1948. She attended St. Mary's Academy and graduated from Carson City High School in 1966. Miss Doepker obtained an LPN degree from Montcalm Community College and worked at Carson City Hospital for several years. She later moved to New Milford and worked at New Milford Hospital for almost 30 years.
Besides her mother, Miss Doepker is survived by a sister, Diane Mason of Holland, Mich.; a nephew, Matthew Mason of Holland; a niece, Megan Mason and her fiance, Nathan Larson, of St. Paul, Minn.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, the Rev. Dave Doepker.
The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.

Edith "Irene" Doepker, 92, of Shepherd passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing.
Irene was born June 29, 1918 in Shepherd to Walter and Gertrude (Brushkutter) Brown. She married Vince Doepker in November 1940; he preceded her in death in 1955. She then married Ralph Doepker in 1958 and he preceded her in death in 1973
Irene was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. She had been active with the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival for many years.
She is survived by four children, Karen Doepker of Holt, Jim (Jeaneen) Doepker of Hope, Robert (Terri) Doepker of Iron Mountain and Kay Curtiss of Holt; six grandchildren, Vincent Doepker, Anne Randall, Ashley Manning, Katie Picucci, Robert Doepker and John Curtiss III; two great-grandchildren, Maxwell Doepker and Kameron Randall; and a brother, Louis Brown of Mesick.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Onstott.

Visitation is today for Edna A. Siefker, 85. The Holland resident died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at an area care center. Born in Shepherd, she was a longtime resident of Saline before moving to Holland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Siefker, in 1995. She is survived by her children, Carolyn and Carl Stegink of Holland, Keith and Sandy Siefker of Celebration, Fla.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Emogene Fanning of St. Louis, Mich.; sisters-in-law, Donna Doepker of Shepherd, Lila Siefker of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and a brother-in-law, Howard Bigelow of Alma. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Third Reformed Church, 111 W. 13th St., Holland, with the Rev. William Unzicker officiating.

Note: Jeaneen May Davidson and James David Doepker were united in marriage in a November 7 ceremony at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Shepherd. Rev. Edward Boucher officiated at the Nuptial Mass at an altar graced with white mums and red carnations.
Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Willard Davidson of 96 South Meridian Road, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Doepker of Shepherd.
John Gorman cousin of the groom was soloist. He was accompanied by Mrs. Cecil Swenson at the organ.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, approached the altar wearing a gown of ivory poie de soie fashioned with beaded alonson lace enhancing the ruffled high rise neckline, Elizabethian sleeves, and the empire waistline. From her waistline fell softly an aline floor length skirt which extended into a cathedral train. Her matching bonnet headpiece was held secure by English illusion veiling and she carried an arrangement of red forever roses, baby carnations and baby breath. During the ceremony the bride placed a bouquet of red roses at the altar of the Blessed Virgin.
The brides sister, Mrs. Stephen Lentz, was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Karen Doepker and Kay Doepker sisters of the groom. The attendants wore identical gowns with ruffled corded lace collars jabots and bishop sleeves. accented with ruby red covered buttons. From their empire waistline sashed with circular buckles fell ruby velvet skirts. Dior bows flattered their Bandeaux headpieces and they carried nosegays of dusty rose carnations and red roses.
The groomsmen were Ti__ Davidson, brother of the bride and Philip Curtiss, friend of the groom from Owosso. Seating the guests were James Kunik and Jack Whitmore, Billy Davidson was ring bearer.
The dinner and reception was held immediately following the wedding at the Elk’s Club. Doris LaVier cousin of the bride was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Onstott aunt of the groom and Mrs. Jean Kornexl served the wedding cake.
The brides mother greeted the guests wearing a two piece eggshell knit suit with brown accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore a two piece beige brocaded dress with gold accessories. The mothers wore corsages of white phalaenopsis orchids.
When the couple left for their honeymoon in Florida the bride wore a red and black plaid suit with ack paten accessories. The newly weds are now at 425 West Wright Ave., Shepherd, Michigan.
Honored guests were the bride’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert LaVier of Midland.
The bride was a graduate from Bullock Creek High School and her husband is a Shepherd High School and Ferris State College graduate. The groom is an employee of McKay Press in Midland.
